«Once upon a time…»
To evoke his artistic approach, DEC created a small character; «CubicJump». The artist is inspired by the cube from which the name adopted, to evoke the laws of balance and illustrate them by this perpetual oscillation. Multiple of four, the small bronze sculpture is composed of sixteen cubes that adopt a posture that is both poetic and dynamic in their arrangement.
DEC likes to place it in a varied daily life in support of his own perception of time: «one moment is not the other». Cubicjump becomes vector of the emotions of the artist translated into images. Permanently in his pocket, the little companion points to another look, another perception of ladders.
Each universe is oversized for this character because of its own dimensions (4x3x1,5 cm). By his situation, the artist leads to his own journey and induces the fact that seeing is not watching ...
